But take heart! I have overcome the world.”….John 16:33 NIV – ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. Only in Jesus, will we find perfect peace, that will sustain us despite volatile external circumstances, or to call a spade by its name through trials, tribulations, persecution … Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”…John 14:27 NIV – “Peace I leave with you my peace I give you. So definitely, “perfect peace” is not as we are used to experience in the world, because no matter who we are, this life cannot be without issues, it is only the level and nature of the issues that vary from one individual to the other…as saying goes “one persons’ meat is another’s poison’, human nature is such that they are never contented, unless of course they have come to know God and experience what Apostle Paul called “Godliness with contentment”…1 Timothy 6:6-7.īack to peace Jesus said, when He warned of tribulation and trouble for His followers in this world…. Till it reaches proportions that cause sleepless nights and stress related diseases. The more the trouble, the less the peace. But in this world, things operate in the opposite: we are only at peace when all external forces are perfect! Any slight interference and the peace begins to subside. How we all long for that perfect peace! Peace that is perfect in itself, not subject to any external circumstances.
